P/M Bronze Standards - Sleeve BearingsComplete Stock Line ASB manufactures and stocks a complete line of standard sized P/M (powdered metal) self lubricating sleeve bearings, P/M flanged bearings, and P/M thrust washers and plates. Stock is available in inch or metric sizes. P/M bronze stock items are manufactured of pressed copper and tin powders and impregnated with lubricating oil. They are intended by design to be self lubricating, maintenance free and low cost. Standard material specifications include: Standard impregnating oil conforms to SAE 30 specifications but product is also regularly supplied with special oils such as Mil-L-6085, Mil-L-17731. For those special applications required of today’s high tech industries we also manufacture our line ultra-precision miniature P/M bronze bearings. These miniature bearings are precision machined to sizes as small as .040”/1 MM diameter with tolerances as tight as .0002”/.005 MM. This is an increasingly popular design and is available in sleeve bearing, flanged bearing or bronze washer configurations.
